💯 my 2 year old yells “A’s game!!!” every time we drive by the coliseum and both my kids already know the chants we do in the bleachers and it breaks my heart that this is being taken away from them.
What MLB is taking from Oakland, is community and the ability to pass our traditions to our children and grandchildren. That’s what hurts the most. It’s not the monetary aspect because these teams don’t really make money for municipalities. It’s the tearing apart of civic fabric.
