#BREAKING The family of hostage Alon Ohel has learned that he is alive. Alon was at the Nova festival with friends, arriving one hour before the attack began on Oct 7. He last texted his family at 8:08 a.m. after taking cover in a roadside shelter. Alon was abducted along with Eliya Cohen, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, and Or Levy (who was released yesterday). Statement from Alon’s family: "Today we were informed that since his kidnapping, Alon has been held in tunnels in Gaza alongside hostages who were recently released. While we are relieved and emotional to know Alon is alive, we are also devastated and shocked by his severe physical and mental condition, and by the abuse that he and the other hostages continue to endure. Alon has survived the horror so far, but he has no time left! The release of the hostages cannot be delayed. These are all humanitarian cases! Since his kidnapping, Alon has been held in harsh conditions in Hamas's underground tunnels, without daylight or access to basic human necessities. We have been informed that Alon is wounded in his eye. Additionally, he is being held in particularly severe captivity conditions, with serious food shortages. We all sat crying on Saturday as we watched our dear brothers being released after their prolonged hell. We demand our leaders take the necessary humanitarian steps to rescue Alon and the other victims from the hell they are experiencing. Tomorrow, Alon will mark his 24th birthday in Hamas captivity - we call on the Prime Minister, the cabinet, and the Israeli government - time is running out. The second phase of the deal must be advanced to bring back all the hostages. It is your moral duty to do everything possible to save Alon and all the hostages."

JUST IN 🔴 Axios: Trump’s team was warned that Iran’s assassination threats were more serious than reported. Iran allegedly placed operatives in the U.S. with surface-to-air missiles to target his plane. Security also advised Trump to avoid car windows due to sniper threats. In September, his security shot down a drone following his convoy. The threat reportedly made Trump more cautious about boasting about Soleimani’s killing.

Three-year-old Almog met his father, Or, for the first time after 491 days in Hamas captivity. Or’s brother recalls: Almog said to his father, “Dad, you were gone for a long time.” Or responded, “That’s right.” “Dad, you look different today.” Or replied, “That’s right.” Then Almog asked, “Why didn’t Mom return?” It was unbearable for Or—he cried. And then Almog said, “Mom is dead. She won’t come back.” Somehow, Almog had already begun to process the trauma of losing his mother, while Or hadn’t. Now, Almog will be the one helping his father through his grief. They spent a few hours together, lying in bed, hugging. Almog gave Or food that he wasn’t supposed to eat during his recovery, but Or couldn’t bring himself to say no to his son—so he ate it. Despite their long separation, their bond was instant. It was remarkable, considering that Almog was just a baby when Or was kidnapped. In the morning, Almog woke up and said, “I’m so happy that Dad came back.” He hadn’t yet slept beside his father, so he asked to record a video of him and then said, “Dad, I really, really love you. I’m so happy you’re back!” For the past 16 months, the family told Almog that his father was away in a place he couldn’t return from yet, along with others who had been taken. On Friday, we told him, “It’s Dad’s time to come back. Dad is coming home!”
