@TinCup2020 @BehizyTweets Japanese people have been in Hawaii since 1880's. Does Japan have a military base there. No they don't. We need to stop policing the world. If we were to concentrate our military as a defensive perimeter around the Americas, then we wouldn't need to spend $841 billion.

@TinCup2020 @BehizyTweets If we didn't over indulge on things like our military, then we could afford these other things. The 2024 defense budget was $841 billion dollars. No other military on Earth is as spread out as ours is. Most countries are content to police their own borders (except for Russia).

@DShalimar895 @BehizyTweets The civil service system is merit based, not DEI based as Trump likes to bluster. People work for the federal government because they have the skills. What Trump wants to do is game the system, so anyone willing to swear allegiance to the MAGAt Empire can work for the government.

@wllwryn95 @BehizyTweets What people. What concern. There is only one person Trump cares about and it's not Melania. That man is self-absorbed. If you can't do anything to service him, then your useless. Now that he's a lame duck, MAGA members are extremely useless to him as you can't elect him again.

@DShalimar895 @BehizyTweets Trump is also in violation of the Hatch Act of 1939 which protects Executive Branch employees from firing without just cause.

@DShalimar895 @BehizyTweets Ultimately, it will be adjudicated that he doesn't have the authority to modify congressional law by executive order. Most notably, the Pendleton Act of 1832 reformed federal employment to indicate that hiring & firing had to be merit based and not by political whim.

@BehizyTweets None of the articles I read said that they met with Citizen Trump. I don't think I would say that they are here begging. I would say that they are here advising the White House not to allow the (p)Resident of the United States (the p is silent) from destroying two economies.

@TrumpDailyPosts Why don't you call Uncle Vlady and tell him to withdraw from Ukraine. That will end the war.

@TrumpDailyPosts He still doesn't get to make that decision. If the penny is to be eliminated, then it must be done by an act of Congress. Not the whims of a man-child.

@BehizyTweets I think Samuel L Jackson did a great job last night. If anyone owes the American people an apology, then it's Citizen Trump as he left the game just before half time.

@csuwildcat @SenAdamSchiff Actually, that is exactly how it works. Depts. make funding requests and Congress triws to accommodate each depts. requests. Sometimes spending overlap administration to administration so the new people have to follow what the bills say until the next appropriation is written.

@csuwildcat @SenAdamSchiff NO THEY CAN'T. Congressional spending bills have exact language to tell the party receiving the money how it must be spent. There is no latitude. That is why Congress has the power of the purse. The founding fathers did not want the president deciding how the money is spent.

@csuwildcat @SenAdamSchiff No. It doesn't work that way. The Executive Branch departments have to spend the money exactly as Congress dictates. When Congress writes spending bills, the money is appropriated down to the penny. There is virtually no latitude. This is what the controversy is about.

@csuwildcat @SenAdamSchiff This is where I ask, do you know what the APA is? The job Administrative Procedures Act is rule making & enforcement of existing rules. It has no oversight power. It has no hiring & firing power. Oversight power, spending power are SOLELY the right Congress. Not DOGE or Elon.

@csuwildcat @SenAdamSchiff If Congress says spend 100 million dollars on rubber duckies and Trump thinks that's dumb, Trump has NO LEGAL AUTHORITY to counteract that spending. He can request that Congress write a bill to adjust spending, but that is all he can do LEGALLY.
