feel I need to reiterate that creating and consuming porn of popular characters isn't bad, but when you can't even bring up certain characters without people instantly making sexual references to them or it goes against what the character's creator wants, it feels kind of bad.

there are so many expectations with sci-fi that it becomes really difficult to diverge from it. like sci-fi is a surprisingly violent genre, death and murder seems so prevalent, meanwhile I'm making a little slice-of-life thing and people are STILL expecting alien mass murder.
