AI has the capacity to transform primary health care with precision, efficiency and innovation. Yet, no algorithm can replace empathy and trust central to every patient interaction. Let’s innovate with technology to strengthen PHC while ensuring compassion remains its very core.
The solutions of tomorrow are with us today. Making health systems more affordable means embracing new technologies and finding the right solutions for patients, health workers and policy makers says @ALEXEYTSOY3 #UnitedActionForBetterHealth

The discussions during 1st hearings showed how data-driven, people-centered approaches are vital for sustainable health systems. Strengthening #PHC is crucial to address these realities & ensure that systems meet people where they are. Join us for more 👉
The first #EPW2 hearing focused on 2 defining health challenges of our time: noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) & mental health. I’m delighted to share that over 750 participants joined the online discussion. NCDs are a silent epidemic. Cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes & chronic respiratory diseases cause 9 out of 10 deaths in Europe & Central Asia. They account for 80% of avoidable deaths, claiming 1,8 million lives each year. Mental health challenges are rising. Suicide is the leading cause of death among 15–29-year-olds. 15% of adolescents face cyberbullying & up to 25% report feeling lonely. Our health workforce is overstretched, with a shortfall of 1.2 million workers – a gap that is growing. Tackling these shared health challenges requires collective action. We must co-create and co-own #EPW2. Nobody is safe until everybody is safe. No country can tackle health crises in isolation – developed or less-developed. Global solidarity is essential to achieving our health goals and leaving no one behind. Learn more about #EPW2 >> Register for the upcoming #EPW2 hearings >> 2/

Last month marked a key step in shaping a community-based PHC model in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Supported by @eubih, plans for health reform include community health centres integrating primary care with public health. Roadmaps and pilots of the centres are set for March 2025.
