Scout carry refers to caring your knife at 90° on the belt. It’s easily concealable and helps the blade remain out of the way (especially when sitting down). It also secures the blade closer to your body so it does not feel like it’s flopping around. Knife:

Finally got my hands on the Reate Exo-U utility gravity razor blade. When I first handled these at Shot Show, I knew they were going to be a hit. They are just as smooth as the EXO-m models and a bit more lightweight. Oh and much more affordable.
If you think being stuck in your house is hard, imagine being stuck in a mosquito shelter for 3 weeks... with no internet.

I just received the Midgards Messer Fenris prototype in the mail and it’s bigger than remember. Does make sense? No. Do we still want it? Yes.
Blaze length: 11.42 inches.
Total length: 25.2 inches.
Weight: 2lbs, 9.6 ounces
CPM D2 Steel BEAST blade
It’s back in stock and it’s updated! The Rike Knife Lamella caused quite the stir when it was released last year (and for good reason). The machining on this thing is bananas. The handle frame comes as two pieces - one of those pieces that acts as somewhat of an outer shell.
Knife link in bio! Named after Enrico Fermi, “The Architect of the Nuclear Age,” the all new Glow Rhino Fermi is loads of fun to deploy. The ceramic ball bearing are so whippy it feels like its a borderline an assisted opening knife!
Today, Mrs. Claus is showing off the Civivi Button Lock Elementum II. This button lock is designed with a spring underneath the button to provide just the right amount of tension. This creates enough resistance to avoid “accidental opening”.

Cobratec is kicking it outta the park with this one! The Gideon Hidden Release and Hidden Release Compact is one sleek looking blade. The action and lock up is tight and I’m thoroughly impressed with this one.
Pretty excited about this one debuting tomorrow from
@CRKTweet
! They will have this one in person at Blade Show Texas and it will be available for the public to buy. GO PLAY WITH IT, I command you (jk but for real, go hold it if you swing by their booth).
Debuting at Blade Show Texas: a Compact Persian pocket buddy? Indeed! I love it when traditional designs are fused with modern takes and the all-new CRKT Compact Ritual does just that. Designed by Alan Folts of Melbourne, FL it is influenced by traditional Persian fixed blades.
The only time I’ll ever be able to do a front flip😌 This is the ESNYX Silver Line Workhorse Front Flipper by Evan Nicolaides. Evan is a very talented knifemaker out of Florida, with a focus on and passion for Slip Joints.
Link in bio! Meet the Ketuo VENTR, a super fun and super budget friendly little whipper snapper of a knife (msrp 55.00) This little guy features an hybrid-type locking mechanism with a nested liner that is activated with the push of button.
The Excalibur line by Templar Knife is a first-of-its-kind OTF on the market featuring a unique screwless handle design. This makes entry into the pocket seem “frictionless.” This model is also Cali Legal at 1.9” blade legnth.

Pops took this while we were yakkin it up last month. Get to see him again tomorrow as we head out on one of my favorite kayaking canals near Lobdell Lake.
FINALLY I can announce it!

XL Season Premier Sunday May 6th @ 10pm ET. Watch us try to survive 40 days in South Africa🐆🐘🦒🦓🦏. The experience was insane. That is all I can say.
Yes, I know wood batonning with an OTF is blasphemy but When I first got my hands on the TAKCOM Knives “Bulldog,” I immediately thought “Dang, I feel like I could beat the crap out of this.” I then proceeded to.
Ever seen a manual, OTF knife? These are the KatanO by D Rocket Designs and they are such lovely little pieces. The first one is a golden mokume and the second one is an ultra-light Ultem! It comes in at only 0.6 pounds. They remind me of very fancy Box cutters.
In last week’s episode we were able to secure a protein source in a catfish pond, talk about relief. Tonight an all new episode shows at 10pm ET on Discovery. 😀

Scout Feather is an ultra compact, ultra utilitarian, survival blade. It comes with a fire starter, knife sharpener, and survival whistle and features a super ergonomic grip 🔪
Finally got my mitts on the Rike Knife Alkaid and I am geeking out. One of the awesome things about it is how it locks out when in push dagger form. The construction and frame on this feel surprisingly sturdy. These are at if you want to check if out.
Permanent matches have been around for quite some time but not many people know about them. They are a really cool and fun fire starter alternative especially, for those who love the mechanisms of a match.

Where do I begin? Easily one of my favorite EDC knives I have received this year, the Kizer Varatas checks so many boxes. This Jacob Lundquist design features a hidden, reversible 3D pocket clip that is flushed elegantly into the frame.
A tactical folding knife with Japanese inspirations, the Chop 2 by North Mountain Blade has a blade made Japanese-produced SLD-Magic steel with a patented surface polishing technique that emulates the hamon of Japanese samurai sword, pretty darn cool looking!
During Shot Show, I swung by the Templar knife booth to check out some models they will be releasing later this year, including this lightweight OTF, “the Sentinel”.

. Considering opening mechanism, blade, shape, and blade length, it should be legal in MOST countries you travel (but always check your local laws).
For 6 years you have stood by my side in everything I have done and made me a better person. Today you asked me to be your wife and I couldn’t be any happier. HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE…
Most lethal knife in my collection? Definitely the Mini Korvid by Kansept Knives. This one in particular, the Dessert Warrior x Blade HQ collab. It’s a great self-defense blade to carry because people don’t even want to mess with you when they see it.
It’s Monday… The CRKT PROVOKE® ZAP is designed by Joe Caswell in Newbury Park, California. The Provoke was first knife ever to feature Kinematic® technology. This model, the “Zap” is built with Grivor - a strong, lightweight, engineered thermoplastic.
“Knife acoustics” is a term I have seen scattered across the knife community and usually refers to the sound that resonates from a pocket knife whilst opening, generated by inner mechanisms locking up the blade.
This little guy was actually given to my grandpa in the 1970s from a car dealership. Back then, they didn’t mess with keychains or pens, they gave you souvernier knives! This one in particular is like a miniature manual OTF knife.
Definitely one of the most over- engineered knife designs of all time, the Pantographic Knife aka Paratrooper Knife. The knife is a fun novelty item, but quite impractical to use and there is a reason it‘s style faded out quickly and never quite “caught on”.
The new CJRB “Breeze”. This sturdy little sidekick features an out the front razor blade that is easily replaceable when dull (The company also offers 5x replaceable razors at $13 a bundle). The tool contains a 1.5 inch ruler, bottle opener, and an M6/M8 bit driver.
