I have a list of story ideas to commission and I want to match them with kickass reporters—those who know how to get information out from anywhere. Who can get inside a world, find sources, documents, data, and whatever else it takes to tell a fair and accurate story. At The Plank, the magazine I announced earlier this month, we are most interested in questions-led journalism—where the story is discovered in the process of reporting. This requires curious, tenacious, open-minded reporters who can stay on a story for a while to pull off a great magazine piece.
