Just come behind with a pitchfork and clean it up. Having a good operator is key. Only get this aggressive 1 time a year. Works really well on cutting the runners in summer

This one is my favorite. Growing in of 2 green. Kicker was clearly meant to be green. Little bunker flashes. Gentleman handwatering bentgrass stolons or seed. And it’s the view where I caught my architectural bug, and knew I was at a place that was different, special, 8 years ago

So we are reducing our rough and expanding fairways closer to tees(and adding width). Definitely decreased mow time and increased aesthetics. Plus it fits the original fairway size.

We’ve been trying to add a little texture to the bunker faces that are to severe to maintain. Wasn’t sure at first, but slowly getting them to just fine fescues and it definitely makes a nice contrast.

Hole 2 A whole new fair green that slopes severely uphill. Balls that don’t reach the green potentially roll 40 yards back down the hill. Short grass deflection areas help off target shots find the bunkers. The green has recently been mowed out to the approach in the old photo

New short grass area getting lots of traffic so far. Be sure to carry if you go for green off tee. Everything near green slopes toward this funnel about 10 feet below green. Forces accurate short irons if you play position, as it should. Lower flight shots are fun too.
