This #FundraiserFriday we're celebrating Maria, a Senior Nurse at Whipps Cross Hospital, and her team who recently completed a fundraising walk in support of the Dementia and Delirium (DAD) Team who work across Barts Health NHS Trust. "Working closely with the DAD team at Whipps Cross Hospital, I witnessed firsthand the positive impact they have on patients with dementia and the invaluable support they provide to my teams. This personal connection inspired me to join the annual fundraising event organised by the DAD team." "Our walk involved walking from Whipps Cross Hospital to Newham Hospital, then to The Royal London Hospital, and finally to St. Bartholomew's Hospital. This route connected the various sites where the DAD team makes a difference in patients' lives," Maria explained. 🚶♀️🏥 The funds raised by Maria could help support initiatives like the Thursday Lunch Club on Syringa Ward at Whipps Cross Hospital. This club provides patients living with dementia with therapeutic engagement and activities. "These programs are crucial in enhancing the quality of life for patients and supporting the staff who care for them," shared Maria. Inspired by Maria's story?
