@GrumpyCompSci Acutally a for/else loop…. With the else working if the loop terminates (runs) normally — doesn’t need the if bit. Python does have some ‘interesting’ bits :-)

@CompSciOxford If only the system was working - keeps locking students and then not showing questions. Then the telephone numbers provided just auto-disconnect.... @UniofOxford

@MrAColley Jupyter notebooks and then just uploaded to a Teams assignment (not sure we can run in OneNote - will try). I’ve not looked at unit testing yet but having asked students to complete a subroutine I have put testing statements for them to use and check against before submitting

Thanks to @daveyweston for virtually training us today at @natmatsci on @edpuzzle - will continue to explore what this tool can offer in terms of encouraging our students to engage with video and enhance how they learn from it.

@CompSci_HoD Interesting to think what needs to change…. Is it what we teach? Is it the conditions? Is it the pay? I’m still trying to inspire students about our great subject - 25 years in

@Gripweed1 If not done already get student to prepare a proposal identifying the skills they are looking to show in their game (algorithms / data structures / etc). Seen many good games without databases - but still see centres get students to bolt on a DB to a game asfeel it’s necessary
