Hello, everyone! It is a pleasure to share with you @icstcf2020 my work "Single-trajectory analysis of droplets produced by spontaneous emulsification at water/glycerol/dodecane/span80 interface". #ICSTCF21Poster

@alex_rimo Thanks for your very interesting question. We have varied the concentration of surfactant, glycerol and I would like to have more control over the interface shape, so that we have in a similar configuration a flat interface and see how the droplets would behave.

@Alpixels ¿Ya leíste el libro de voces de Chernóbil de Svetlana Aleksiévich?, también lo recomiendo. Saludos Alexis

@LwalkerCMU Thank you very much for your interesting question. The droplets remain spherical during the whole process, since they move on the interface to form the colloidal crystal and even days later when their size is already over 15 um.

@Paco_Alarcon @icstcf2020 At the moment we are only concentrating on how the drops reach the crystal, but it would be very interesting to explore further the point you mention. Thank you!

@Paco_Alarcon @icstcf2020 It is very interesting to see how the structure evolves over time (as the drops grow), as the drops "rearrange" and even vacancies appear.

@Paco_Alarcon @icstcf2020 Thank you, that's a very interesting question. We have started to work a bit with the droplets coordination number, since the crystal is on a curved surface, there are scars and the coordination number varies between 5,7,8, but number 6 predominates.

@Alpixels @icstcf2020 Also, (at the moment) I am studying the different stages of the colloidal crystal formation and the movement of the droplets since they are closely related (the study now involves something like diffusion near a wall).
