@NikTekOfficial We could ultimately fix this at the PSU as well by checking current on each pin going out of a connector on the PSU and triggering OCP if it gets too unbalanced.

@SebAaltonen @AMDGPU_ 3D cache under the GPU die could take the L2 SRAM off the chip. SRAM isn’t scaling with process node anymore so might as well do SRAM at 6nm and more CUs at 2 or 3nm. No real thermal issues either if Vcache is on the backside.

@SebAaltonen @NikTekOfficial It’s like how chargers aren’t included with mobile phones anymore. Our houses are littered with USB chargers. Yeah the company gets to make an extra dollar because companies use marketing prices as MSRP but it’s also reduced the waste a hell of a lot.

@SebAaltonen @NikTekOfficial And those heat sinks that just get scrapped are huge amounts of aluminium each time. In my town I can’t put it in consumer recycling either because the alloy is wrong. I need to take it to a scrap metal dealer or put in the regular waste stream which goes WTE.
