Accumulator of low activity social media accounts. Possibly finding new ways to finalize PHP libraries. Opinions, while my own, generally aren’t popular.

@phpstorm And absolutely zero marketing content to tell me what’s coming in the upcoming release. No posts in the EAP blog category, there hasn’t been a post with the roadmap tag linked right from that EAP page in over 15 months, just some auto-generated release notes.

So this is how a multi-million dollar company led by a “post-economic” CEO tucks its tail and goes to cry in the corner when they aren’t allowed to bully others and get their way.

Automattic is recalibrating how we contribute to @WordPress, focusing on long-term impact and the platform’s future.

@ryancduff The facade is gone and anyone not willing to admit it is either on Matt’s payroll or shares his philosophical beliefs and at this point most of that crowd are as untrustworthy as Matt himself.

@vinnysgreen So much of the current situation wouldn't be anywhere near what it is if it had always been WordPress marketed as an Automattic product and .org as a personal asset of Matt's instead of the facade of all the community stuff and the smoke and mirrors of things like the Foundation.

Met a bunch of the #FF7Rebirth cast at #HolMat2024 this weekend. @JohnEricBentley is hyped up by everyone as one of the most outgoing and energetic people ever, and somehow, he’s more outgoing and energetic than what their hype prepared me for.

I don’t know which AI service CodeRabbit is using under the hood, but based on an auto-generated PR review comment I just read from it, seems like the service is just full of bad advice thanks to the cutoff dates of all of the models.

@MATsxm @GW1992 @MVeeckmans Why waste time bruising someone’s ego with a website when my tweets did a good enough job to land on the coveted “blocked by Matt” list? 🤣

@photomatt @wpengine Yet you wanted them to provide free labor and services to your personally owned project. Seems legit.

@jeffr0 @EidolonNight @therepositorywp His boss has already proven that he is not above extortion and blackmail, as demonstrated in WP Engine's filings. The fact that those 19 people chose to remain anonymous is not surprising to me at all.

Vue’s type coercion on certain form elements will be that thorn in my ass that I’ll never get rid of.

SQL gen tools that ignore every configuration and directive regarding these critical bits are not production ready: - Not creating write queries (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, etc.) - Applying filters based on a security configuration - Only reading from allowed tables and fields

People aren’t going to Mastodon or Bluesky because one of those platforms is generally better than the place we still call Twitter. People are going there because each of those 3 services has their own target user audience and people are finding the one they most fit into.
