Today sees the full scale deployment of the CBTC signalling under a supervised test environment.
Between Westall - South Yarra, multiple Evolution HCMT trainsets will operate under the new CBTC system which is controlled from Sunshine Signalling Centre.

The current proposal for MARL Airport Station is literally not future proofed for SRL.
Literally, it’s like the government got cities skylines and plonked an elevated station in the middle of nowhere to give themselves a gold medal.

Genuine thought, Container Deposit Scheme is legitimately designed in a way to be hostile and not return the 10 cents.

From memory, double decker train in Sydney compensates the dwell time with longer double decker trains (8 cars) with two doors, dwell is 1 min each.
Melbourne, six - seven cars with three doors on each side. 18/21 doors with a dwelling time of 30-40 seconds.

Can I just say, NSW has done it right with Metro Stations, whilst being functional but yet aesthetically appealing.
Victoria Cross Metro was breathtaking. I had high expectations and was still blown away. It's HUGE and absolutely stunning. Biggest Metro station so far.
One thing I noticed was the lighting on the platform - it's all from two LED strips that reflect off the roof, a cool effect!
