Europeans aren't poor. They are illiquid. Much of Europe's wealth is stored in safe streets, nice parks, public transit, "free" healthcare, etc. which, it turns out, are too socially expensive for Americans to maintain. Americans take the money instead. The rest is only natural.

Yet, before the Cold War was over, we were economically overtaken by most countries, even pariah states like Spain.
Socialism has brought us nought but poverty and suffering.
I could walk through any US city and see shit worse than this despite being the most wealthy nation on earth. Socialist countries suffered from blockades and other bullshit and were still able to provide basic human necessities, so why don't you grow the fuck up.
