Senate President Chiz Escudero says budget for any agency can be augmented once the budget bill is passed.

Sen. Bong Revilla assures there is budget in the 2025 General Appropriations Act for the Expanded Centenarian Law. Starting January, senior citizens will receive P10,000 when they turn 80, 85, 90, & 95. On their 100th birthday, they will receive a one-time cash gift of P100,000.

Senate President Chiz Escudero said the threat was received through the Senate’s social media account. “While it was not considered as a credible and serious threat, the Office of the Senate Sergeant at Arms is nevertheless taking the necessary precaution,” said Escudero.

Senate Finance Committee Chair Sen. Grace Poe now says that the AKAP budget was reduced from 39-billion to 26-billion pesos.

No details yet if the budget for the Office of the Vice President was increase, or if the budget for the Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita (AKAP) Program was restored.
