What is a socially progressive mental health service? What is our philosophy at @FirstPersonCIC? Ultimately, it's about people and connection! I wrote this a little while ago to give some context. Feel free to check it out, like and share 😀 Thank you!

We at @FirstPersonCIC are an organisation which uses a public health approach to achieve our social mission. We know it works and have data to prove this emphatically. We are the Socially Progressive Mental Health Service. This 👇 is great news for all.
We’re serious about public health. Prevention is better than cure. Today @GwynneMP and I are announcing public health grant allocations to invest in the health of the nation. Alongside @AngelaRayner, we’re backing local councils to make a real difference to local communities.

First Person Project C.I.C in SHOCK move to Preston?? Maybe, but we're not leaving Liverpool! I have spent a boss morning with friends @recyclinglives in Preston discussing the power of social enterprise for mental health & community building. There are big things to come.

@tillytog01 Hi, thank you. As a suicide survivor myself and as a clinician with 19 yrs experience, I believe that suicide prevention training is great, but access to the people who have been trained are poor. AT MMV's and @FirstPersonCIC we address this issue. Because we care and want to.

Do you think that your GP should refer you to us? Tell them to. It's really easy. Here: No cost. No waiting. No catch. Don't believe me? Ask about. We care deeply about our communities. We are here for you. Please share 🙏
We have just received some outstanding feedback from an individual receiving 1-2-1 support form us by advocating for her self and to her own GP on how they should be referring her in the first place to services like us. Her own GP. Free, professionally-led, no waiting lists. ❤️

We're continuing to meet with each of our incredible Neighbourhood Managers from @lpoolcouncil. We want them to know the full extent of our offer & how we're there to support them to meet the #mentalhealth challenge being faced in our communities. @liamrobinson24 @Mersey_Care
We’ve had a boss Monday moving awareness to action by setting the tone for the rest of the week: Weekly team meeting ✅ Delivering our Fundamentally Healthy Session 5: Positivity ✅ Meetings to discuss innovation with Neighbourhood Manager’s across the city. ✅ Exciting times.

Bollocks to barriers - at MMV's we strive for excellence!
This week we've used creative & play therapy to engage one of our community members, a 73 year old stroke victim. NHS waiting list too long, MH worsens, wants to give up yet still has more to give. There should be no barriers to support, MH affects all ages. 13 or 73 WE DO IT ALL

Thank you to "V" for sharing some great feedback during one of our women's mental health groups. We're so proud of the community we've built and even more honored to be a part of their journey learning towards healing and growth. This is #SociallyProgressiveMentalHealth 💪🏼

Once again we at @FirstPersonCIC have been contacted by a person, in tears, and distraught at how a local not for profit organisation has treated them - a so-called suicide prevention organisation. Advertising a service as free, then charging. We're supporting her. NO CHARGE!

@patrick44newton Forget the slightly pretentious fella, then think about what it all really does - it's way better for society on multiple levels. I'm not arsed if you like a bevvy or meat, but that's not the point. Local people, local jobs, social impact, better economy, sustainable.
