@mattyglesias There’s a loss aversion fallacy that people fall into. Yes, you lose time for charging breaks on long trips but you gain significantly more through avoiding trips to the gas station as part of your regular routine, and through less required maintenance - no oil changes etc.

I didn’t expect a 10% import tax on fossil fuels from Canada / 25% from Mexico under this president, yet here we are. I wonder if anyone has modeled the emissions impact yet.
The goal of blocking Keystone XL was to raise the cost of importing the most carbon-intensive Canadian crude and therefore weaken the economics of the US refinery sector. It is the peculiar genius of Donald Trump to find an even more rapid & complete way of accomplishing this.

This is a great summary of how AI can be wrong and useful at the same time for difficult topics.
Basically any resource on a difficult subject—a colleague, Google, a published paper—will be wrong or incomplete in various ways. Usefulness isn’t only a matter of correctness.
