Exciting topic, very timely! Let's work out how brains build world models. Josh is a fantastic pioneer. Deepmind @demishassabis & our ELLIS program are pushing for this too. It will be a game changer when we achieve brain-like generalization in machines.
Josh Tenenbaum (as many others) was working on world models a decade ago, when I was a postdoc in his lab. So when Meta says they are working on an alternative vision to AI based on world models, that sounds a bit funny to me.
