As I continue to make connections on Twitter, the goal of this account is ministry. I tweet a variety of things, but at the end of the day, I strive to be accessible to those who need prayer and a listening ear.

I’m going to ask for some very specific prayers. My mom has been in the hospital for over a week and has now been transitioned to hospice care. During this time, I contracted shingles and am running a fever tonight. I’m asking my brothers and sisters in Christ to pray for me.

My mom is now “absent from the body, present with the Lord” as of the 3:00 hour this morning. Thank you for praying for her and our family! We are trusting God’s grace to carry us in the days ahead.

Well, I was called a false prophet for the first time today because I have a beard. After years of ministry criticism, I laugh because it’s so predictable. I can assure you that the beard does not prevent me from preaching that Jesus is the ONLY way to Heaven.

I’m blown away by people who tell me it’s wrong to ask others to pray for me. If the Apostle Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, can request prayer for himself as he closes out Ephesians, I can certainly follow that example.

When I was in Bible college, I was told to only preach in places that believed exactly like I do or people will label you. People will label you anyway. I have no problem proclaiming the gospel anywhere to anybody. Christ saves! Not a denomination!

Today, I prayed with a hospice patient like I would any other time. As I went to leave the home, the patient asked me to come back. When I leaned toward her in order to hear her, she reached for my hand and began to pray for me. Wow! 😭
