I've already checked out on it. Starting it off with Superman beaten and bloodied immediately made me go "NOPE". It is possible to do a Superman story in today's world, but most, including James Gunn, fail to understand that while he is godlike, he's hopeful and optimistic with a bit of realness. He can talk someone out of doing something with ease because he listens and understands. But based off what Gunn's said, I can't see it as a GOOD Superman movie. It may be a good movie, but not a good Superman movie.
