lol the number of times I’d ask PA announcers if they had any pronunciation questions and they’d say “nope I think I’ve got it” and then butcher names that left my coaches staring at me like it was my fault 🙃
If you are a television broadcaster or PA announcer, please use your pronunciation guides and SID to get names right.
Prep work is really important and really respectful! Our athletes deserve to be recognized correctly no matter what team they play for.

Listen, I would NEVER change anything about my experience at Georgia. I loved the coaches and staff. But if there was any other coach I could’ve had the opportunity to work with I would’ve loved to work with Coach Torina. I’ve admired her and her program for years. Congrats!

Several softball players who compete for schools that are leaving the Pac-12 have spoken out against the latest round of conference realignment.

As a former SID I want to emphasis this. I have seen it happen MANY times. Thankfully my coaches allowed me to do my job but more than once have I been in situations where coaches try to dictate calls based on how it would impact their stats & pressure/threaten SIDs
