I just realized something cool:
- I've been playing poker professionally for about 9 years;
- Sunday, like all our relatives know by now (or you'd think), is the most important/valuable day of the week for us;
- I can safely say I played poker on Sundays 51+ times per year

I personally find that it makes me show up as my best self, no matter what. It’s a positive pressure that pushes me to do more for others what I wouldn’t necessarily do for me.
We end the online series on a decent double FT. No title this time, but I'll be back hungry for more.
Now, a well deserved...3 hours of rest before jumping into the WSOP 25K 6-max.

Doesn't matter how much I mentally prepare, going from online poker to live poker is always a choc.
But it's nice to talk to fellow humans once in a while.

1- Take 2min to remember dreams (improves memory)

4- Walk (in nature if possible) + morning meeting with other half

6- (if play day) mental/poker warm up
7- workout (as little as 4min HIIT - NO EXCUSES!) = delicious hormones for cognitive performance !
8- cold shower, 2-5min meditation
9- KICK SOME ASS
I’m usually the happiest when I’m being my best self.
That’s true in my career (poker) but also in holidays (relaxed, curious), and social interactions (present).

Need: The more things you “need” to accomplish something or feel a certain way, the more chances you fail to meet them all. Letting your subconscious think that you “need” something is making it, and you, are vulnerable.
I prefer to WANT something and own the power.
Holly Schnitzel I forgot how cold was the water (cold bath) in Canada.
But as soon as my body starts to warm up itself after the dip (and expands back to its usual size...) it's the best feeling.
I tend to forget how much I enjoy holidays and family/friends time. I easily get caught up in 'I must do more & faster' when actually slowing down helps me gain perspective and long term vision.

Honnestly anything from reviewing/exploring 2-3 recent marked HH to reading a recent study summary. I notice a big difference in how sharp and flexible my mind is with or without daily warm up (esp. on the long run like during series)
In June, we'll run a program we designed to level up a group as much and as fast as we can (before WSOP Main Event).
- 2x90min webinars + 2x60min HH review per week (4 days/week at 9AM PT) for a total of 20+ hrs of coaching, by us two, in one month.

Yeah, weed completely destroys REM sleep (you litterally get down to 0 minute/night instead of the avg 2-3 hours) and the dreams that go with it.
