Nah sorry not having that. He was backed financially more than any other manager since Advocaat. He also went his entire tenure without a major player being sold. If he wanted more funds this season, seeing off a 10 man Malmö at home would have helped.
When Gerrard broke rank to have a dig about the lack of funds there was a sense his tenure may not be as long lived as expected in May.
The prospect of the team be built being broken up in the summer will have made the decision easier.
