As @BarackObama & this article notes, ending USAID will destroy decades of US goodwill & result in more sickness and death worldwide. This "shoot first and aim later" policy benefits China and Russia. It is the foreign policy example of cutting off your nose to spite your face.
USAID has been fighting disease, feeding children, and promoting goodwill around the world for six decades. As this article makes clear, dismantling this agency would be a profound foreign policy mistake - one that Congress should resist.

Families who lost access to Head Start child care need to know there is only 1 reason why they are scrambling for child care: Trump's team cut the aid. I feel sorry for them but none of this is unexpected. Ending Head Start is in the Project 2025 handbook:
Cattaraugus-Wyoming Project Head Start abruptly shut down operations and temporarily laid off its 84 employees, suddenly leaving without child care nearly 200 children from low-income families.

Oh, and by the way, a tariff is not paid by the country it is leveled against. It is paid by the importers of goods, and eventually the consumer as the price goes up. Thankfully we don't have to pay a tariff to listen to this @LowestOfTheLow gem. 3 of 3
