Games I've designed have prompted people to spend over $1.5 billion.
@legions_legends
is my best game yet, hands down. I've never been more excited about a title I've developed, including Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes.
The game industry is fiercely competitive. Only the strong survive.
The first generation of web3 games existed in a bubble with few competitors, but those days are over.
Experienced teams will dominate the future.
Video games are the great art form of our time, and someday will be recognized as such.
If you are building a game today, are you striving to build something that history will remember? I am.
The tokenomics you'll see in games next year will look nothing like the "gamefi" tokenomics of 2021.
The future of web3 games is about player-owned assets and sustainability.
Only the fun will survive. (But this is true of games on any platform.)
The moment when a game's story weaves itself into your life, and you can't help but think about it even when you're not playing - that's the power of a great game. In fact, it's why I make games.
What was the last story that had that impact on you?
I won't ever release a game that isn't outstanding.
I once caved to pressure to do push a game that wasn't ready. It was a success, but not a huge success. I will never do this again.
What is something you won't compromise on?
My kids are still pretty young and I don't have a lot of time for recreational gaming right now, but one of the things I'm most looking forward to as a parent is sharing my passion for video games with my sons.
What games have you played with your kids?
Most game company CEOs are not as closely involved in game design as I am. Many of them know nothing about it at all.
I can't imagine doing it any other way.
If you're building a game, remember: Players don't care about what tech you're using. They won't be moved by it and they won't remember it.
They will only remember how your game made them feel.
Do you remember the first game you truly loved? The one you could not put down. The one that had you glued to the screen far too late into the night.
Those are the games we're creating at
@AzraGames
.
What was your first?🕹️
I've been making games for a long time.
Most games copy others, and that's OK. Some of the best games break no new ground.
But every now and then, new technology unlocks a giant leap forward.
I've gotten good at identifying these moments. 👇
There's a certain magic in discovering an unforgettable video game soundtrack – it becomes the background music to our most cherished gaming memories. Share with me your favorite game soundtrack of all time.
🎧🎮
What's your earliest memory of a video game, whether it is from playing it or watching someone else play?
Bonus points for posting a picture or screenshot.
Since the bear market hit, web3 game studios are all talking about the importance of building fun games.
Welcome to the club. :)
Fun was always our mission.
What was your all-time favorite childhood video game?
If that question made you smile, post a screenshot of your favorite character from that game in the comments. 👇
Now scroll down and reminisce.
A game designer who thinks he has all the answers is incompetent.
My games have made over $1.5B and I never stop wondering if there's something I'm missing, and always know I must constantly keep learning new things to keep up.
GN to all the dreamers, web3 will have so much more to offer. Patience.
We are entering a new season, it may not be clear now and that is ok bc we are early.
Inspired. Let’s build!

I couldn't be more thrilled with the game my team is building for you. This is the most deeply talented squad of game developers I've ever been privileged to work with.
We're building something truly extraordinary.
Pro-tip from a serial founder: If you recruit people with true passion for what they do, you will remain in ""unstopable start-up"" mode longer.
This is especially true for game studios.

The number one thing I look for in a hire: Deep and undeniable passion for gaming.
Second: An insatiable desire to create something truly groundbreaking.
Everything else flows from these things.

Keeping an open mind and being willing to pivot when necessary is crucial to success.
It's just like yoga: if you're inflexible, you can get hurt.
Most game developers are optimists.
They’ve built their careers on the belief that their ideas and dreams are worth sharing with the world.
Optimism is a mental muscle. Like any muscle, it needs to be exercised.
This goes doubly for entrepreneurs.
Game on.
Congratulations
@AzraGames

If you want to make video games just to make money, your heart is not in the right place.
If your heart is in the right place, you stand a much better chance of succeeding.
Game development is a discipline of rapid prototyping. You must build something small, iterate quickly, and experiment often.
Only the innovative survive.
Success in game development requires a shared vision, relentless focus on quality and a deep understanding of player aspirations.

Curiosity should be a driving force behind game development. We must continuously ask: How can we improve, innovate, and create immersive experiences for an ever-evolving audience?
I was born curious.
