@MrsBertBibby @sturdyAlex Or perhaps the politician described as "far-right" by many news outlets (NBC, Politico, the Tribune, etc.) is doing what far-right politicians do, seek to divide and incite, and they'd do the same on any topic? Maybe not the best source to cite for opinions on this one either.

@sturdyAlex Turner's previous article makes her position pretty clear tbf, even without reading the whole thing. Democrats dropped the ball. It's not unreasonable to assume she hasn't wildly changed tack in just 2 weeks.

@Glinner It was a bit of a cheeky attempt to get a response tbh, I should have been a little more subtle. To clarify, it was just querying the "liberal men" point of Suzanne's post. Her response was very good, this *should* be a left-wing priority.

@oGaZm121707 I agree with this
@markoliv I consider protecting woman and girls right as they are stripped back globally as a left wing priority. I dont know what the left mean if does not do that.

@fletcherkathy8 @suzanne_moore Sarcasm doesn't work here, I'll apologize for that much. I've defended journalists when they've been accused of being right-wing for defending women's rights. My reply to Suzanne was for the "liberal men" point; I don't think polarization helps debate.
@kimwillsher1 @AdamBienkov @soniasodha That's one of the major problems in this whole debate, @AdamBienkov's insinuation that to agree with a point or fact allies you politically. It's a ridiculous polarization, and self-evidently untrue in @soniasodha's case. It only promotes conflict, not understanding.

@frozenwarning @VeritasHere @suzanne_moore Then by all means explain how the left/right divide in this debate has helped move towards a solution, please.

@fletcherkathy8 @suzanne_moore I'm pretty sure right-wing policies around the world will show those deep seems of misogyny are rather common, regardless of the side.

@frozenwarning @VeritasHere @suzanne_moore I don't think it was a mistake to query the "liberal men" point. The left/right divide in what should simply have been about a clash of rights hasn't helped anyone. It's just allowed politicians on both sides to use it as a wedge issue.

@VeritasHere @frozenwarning @suzanne_moore Maybe I could have phrased it better, but it wasn't. Check my timeline if you like, that's not me. Maybe I don't do subtlety very well either.

Welcome to my profile, followers of Linehan et al. My tweet to Suzanne Moore was hoping for a response to the liberal/left point, and I think this puts it very well. Women's rights should be a concern for all, and absolutely a priority for the left.

@frozenwarning @suzanne_moore Oh I agree, 100%. Sorry, the tweet was a slightly cheeky attempt to get a response. I see Rowling and others accused of being right-wingers often, which is just insane to me. My point was this isn't a liberal thing either (or it certainly shouldn't be).

@stopthebus101 @red_mutant_eyes @suzanne_moore I've done my best to stand up for journalists on this app, and elsewhere, when they've been *genuinely* accused of that by their peers. I'm sorry if you see "insult" here; it was a just an attempt to get a response, nothing more.

@TomFunSnouts @soniasodha Not at all. Now include the reply from Suzanne where she agrees this should be a left-wing priority, which I think is 100% bang on.

@bindelj @suzanne_moore It probably took me longer than it should have, but I unfollowed him after this. To accuse Rosie Duffield, of all people, to be unprincipled was just ridiculous.
