Earlier today, I had the pleasure of supporting a Dream VC alumni-run initiative, where I was interviewed at a fireside chat alongside 20+ founders from #startups and #SMEs across Africa, a session at the @upticktalent Startup School Program, by a former Dream VC fellow, Glory @tifeglory. With a vast number of small and medium businesses in Africa often falling between the cracks, as neither 'hobby ideas' nor 'scalable tech startups', and therefore struggling to find contextually relevant guidance on how to deal with specific business challenges - we had a lot to discuss. It was an interesting experience, as Glory and I explored questions related to startup formation, operational, growth hacking, experimentation and fundraising questions - after first identifying some of the key management, operational and financing issues in most SMEs. A pleasure hearing questions from active entrepreneurs, founders, builders and tech enthusiasts like Awhanto, John, Amos, Evariste, Chits and more.
