Apparently there's a thing called the Streamy awards, apparently Map Men has been nominated for one, and apparently there's a black tie ceremony in LA... 🤔🎀

Hi
@AmazonStudios
, hear you're moving Lord of the Rings production to the UK. Good news, my 4 month old son is ready to play the young Frodo. This is his real hair. (He will also accept 'hobbit baby 4').
@LOTRonPrime
Heard of that small Welsh village with the mighty name of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch?! 🏴

If you make it to 35 and you still own that card with your national insurance number on it you should automatically get a thousand pounds for being a good adult.
I would not receive that thousand pounds.
It's upload boxing day! New Map Men arrived yestereve. And it's niche.
Wondering if niche is a good or bad thing? Same.
But if the very surprising geography of website registrations to different country code URLs is your bag, click below

Er...
@BBCNews
- do you think it's wise to use the mercator projection to display the relative size of Greenland? It is, in reality, just over 1/5th the size of the USA...
I do the early get up with my 6 month old, where we tend to watch ten mins of TV to keep him entertained. Having just set up a child's
@iplayer
account for him I can *unequivocally* say he prefers Peter Rabbit to the Blair-Brown documentary series.
Devastated.
I'm usually the main cook at home, but my wife's away for 4 nights & my dinners read as follows:
Last night- curry flavoured super noodles with grated cheddar
Tonight- Dominoes
Tomorrow- Meal out with the boys
Friday- chicken kievs
I feel absolutely no shame about any of it
I just caught myself spending a good 2 minutes trying to do an impression of a chameleon's movements at my desk alone and I think I might benefit from being in an office environment again soon.
Top day of filming Map Men with
@jayforeman
. With the help of a green screen, we've filmed in France, Scotland, Kiribati, America, China, Afghanistan and even Bristol today. Series 2 coming 2019
Not, not unashamedly, Map Men are opening a merch page just in time for Christmas. As well as mugs/t-shirts/face-masks, there are some rather lovely (yes I do say so myself) original World Map posters of different projections. We even made an ad for it.
I have 10.3k followers and have tweeted 3,359 times. Both figures seem low considering all the very clever thoughts I have. But, on the plus side, it means you each individually get 3 of my tweets. You may now all dive in and pick your 3.
Asked 3 close family members how many continents there are over the weekend and got 3 different answers. Thankfully,
@jayforeman
and I had already written and recorded an entire Map Men about it. Get yourself pub quiz ready with episode 20 of Map Men
A record of my attempt to find the unmarked hashtag key on a new keyboard, which nicely doubles as a polite subtitling of my aggressive swearing as I did so
First commute in ages this morning - London people, before I embark - what's tube etiquette now? Do people still sit next to each other / cough freely on each other? I'd sooner die than commit a faux pas on the tube
Wish someone would write a tweet which listed ten amazing free websites that will change my life for the better so I never look at the internet the same way again
I had the absolute pleasure of working once more with the incredibly talented
@jayforeman
on a new series of Map Men. The first one is here - and it's about a map that was the 19th century version of the

🚨MAP HAUL!!! 🚨 Time to geek out a bit. The lovely people at
@UrbanGoodCIC
have sent
@jayforeman
and I some of their exquisite and unusual maps - so beautifully designed. The *colour*, the *concepts*... yes thanks.
Vaccinate people in their 20s before pple in their 30s. Those guys need to be let off the leash - whereas I'll be perfecting homemade crumpets well into 2023.

Remembering how cringe I was at 14 when I would force my parents to listen to The Bloodhound Gang on long car journeys, just to ram home the point that I'd moved on from my pre-pubescent penchant for Andrew Lloyd-Webber
Planning the release of the next map men episode with
@jayforeman
in mid-May... But its tricky when the coffee shop map so blatant disregard for Tasmania, Indonesia, the Caribbean and Antarctica.
Three years later, and a new Map Men episode has just arrivethed. It'll be a 5-part series in total, and we kick-off close to home with the surprisingly surprising England/Scotland border.
Ah yes. Despite usually being very clever, on this occasion I've made a mistake. You actually get a 3rd of a tweet each. I think this only makes things more interesting
Nothing makes me feel more pathetic than when I fail to properly get the teabag on the teaspoon and it falls off about an inch above the surface of the tea which then splashes on me a small bit
@jayforeman
Let's be clear: this photo is of us as *characters* - Map Men will not be wearing ties, appearing mildly cross-eyed or looking like Jarvis Cocker the rest of the time.
