I used to live across from this building so it has a special place in my heart - nothing like the old adage "façade retention is no longer economically viable but now we can build 32 flats instead of 29"
A developer wants to demolish the B-listed neo-classical Hillhead Baptist Church, built in 1883 by Thomas L. Watson, and replace it with a clunky block of flats.
The deadline to object is midnight on Friday.

Can the O2 ABC be saved? Conservationists want every effort to be made to save the portico “in situ” and not just “salvaging bits of it”. Those who want to save the front of the building are at loggerheads with the council over its condition and structural integrity.
