@ModernCassie Good blog, thanks. Would schools be forced into a choice beteeen inclusion and achievement? I think schools would aspire to be good in both. Also a strong inclusion would of should lead to better achievement. Your point about Ofsted setting the bar for incision is worrying.

A Y13 in my form, for whatever reason, has no lessons today - this means he can go home early. As he knows he won't work at home, he deliberately came into school 10 minutes late forcing a detention - making him stay in school all day. self-awareness, strategy and creativity

@greeborunner Probably more important is to consider that all children are individuals and their needs, no matter how they are grouped together with labels, are unique. In general 'SEND child' or 'a child with SEND' doesn't tell us much about the child.
