Id love the UFC to release the mic’d audio from me. I literally screamed out at that ending, first time in 20 years. It was an automatic reaction I guess. I’m still speechless. Still have goosebumps. Both of these guys are the epitome of our sport. Sheer class. What a privilege.

Said it before & I say it again! A HUGE part of solution to eye poke issue is simple pre-curved stitching in the glove material itself to keep the hand (naturally) curved & not extended. Used the same glove design at @IMMAFed World Champs - 350 matches in 5 days, no pokes!.
Would you be happy to see a Pride style glove introduced into the UFC to minimize eye-pokes?

Corey what’s up! No my friend that is not a spike. Any throw with an arc, lift can be brought down in any fashion. Rose held onto kimura grip. A spike is a 12-6 motion feet up/head down where you control your opponent. Think tombstone/pile-driver. Thank you hope you’re well.

I’m sorry my friend but that is a silly/unrealistic notion. Fellow country officials officiate world level sports week in week out all over the globe. Competency is key, not nationality. Oh and by the way I am not English. 🙂.
@marcgoddard_uk @CageWarriors @UFCEurope I know you didn't make a wrong call last night,at least that I know of. But having an English ref in a fight where a fellow Englishman fights,doesn't sit right with me. Same goes for the Americans,Brazilians etc. Athletic commissions should remedy this.

Correct in ON the ruling is deemed as fingers down constitutes grounded. I let first 3 play out & 4th is where I call for neutral separation & NOT an unfair dedication. We also did not have anytime replay. I respectfully work with what I have & apply common sense. Thank you.
Got some clarification on the knees from the Evloev-Allen fight. Apparently, in Ontario, the original rule is used for grounded fighters, prior to the several changes that have been made in other jurisdictions over the years. Weight-bearing does not matter.
