It's good to have this off my desk and a huge THANK YOU to all my NHeLP colleagues who contributed and to everyone who submitted comments on the proposed rule. We need strong nondiscrimination provisions to protect access to healthcare for EVERYONE!
NHeLP submitted comments on the Department of Health and Human Services’ Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to implement Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act. Section 1557, the ACA’s nondiscrimination provision, protects individuals from discrimination.

NHeLP filed our comments, have you?
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if you’re able to get #NBPP2023 comments submitted before 5pm today you’re a super star. Even if there are typos.

.@NHeLP_org Language access is so critical in healthcare, especially during a pandemic. And please don't rely on automated translation to provide health information. Read our complaint and the accompanying article to learn why.
This is definitely a MUST READ! @rjsalame @typeinvestigate investigates nationwide trends that inhibit access to COVID-19 resources for people with #LimitedEnglishProficiency. Plus interview with @NHeLP_org's language access expert @marayoudelman
