People here in Gaza were excited to return and out of that excitement they packed their belongings and hurried to sleep next to the barrier in the freezing cold enduring all of this just to go back But their joy was not fulfilled they closed the roads in their faces

One of the harshest scenes I've ever witnessed that will never fade from my memory is our displacement from Salah al-Din Street where the faces were pale and eyes were filled with tears from parting I couldn't bear those crowds of displaced people
