Here’s Isabella. She went to Majorca to take part in the Tenpro Global Junior Tennis Tour which is a very high standard of junior tennis. She got to play on the centre court at the Rafa Nadal Academy and meet the great man himself! Well done Isabella! 🎾🎾🥇👏
Congratulations to these 2 year 10s. They helped a member of the public who was having an epileptic fit on Beckfield Lane. They called an ambulance, waited with him and helped the paramedics nurse him better. Great work girls 👍👏👏👏🌟👌
Here’s Lee, he leads our facilities team. This week Lee heard a cat crying in the bushes near the gate at the front of school. He got some tuna and coaxed it out and it was friendly. He managed to get it into a cat carrier and off to Minster vets where they searched it’s tag

Testing update:
In 2 days we have done 679 tests! Wow! Tomorrow is y7, before we start again for test 2. The students have been amazing. They’ve taken the whole experience in their stride. Thank you to all our amazing testing team. What a fantastic job they’ve done!
Congratulations to Mr Cooper who ran the Paris marathon yesterday and raised funds for the Stroke Association. Sub 4 hours as well which is a tremendous effort! 👏👏🏆🏃🏃♂️
We had a very moving act of remembrance this evening by our CCF unit. Every old Manorian who died in service had their name read out and a minutes silence observed. Well done all.

Our girls tennis team got into the northern regional finals today but lost by the narrowest of margins in a nail biter final. They were knocked out in what was effectively the National Quarter Finals. Top 8 in UK and highest finishing state school! These girls are awesome! 👏🥇⭐️
We have had reports of children still being out in groups. Please speak to your children about why the restrictions are in place and the consequences for not following. Stay at home and stay safe. It won’t be forever but it will certainly be for much longer if we don’t all do it.
We had our year 11 leavers assembly this lunchtime. They have been a brilliant year group and we going to really miss them all. Looking forward to their prom next month once the exams are over.

Huge well done to our ultimate frisbee teams who competed in the national championships in Wolverhampton this weekend and did very well winning the spirit of the game award for being fair competitors.
Here’s Joey. He’s one of our facility managers. Last night he helped a family whose car broke down in our car park at 10pm. He stayed after his shift to let the breakdown lorry in and look after them. They were really grateful and we think Joey is a star ⭐️👏👏

We held a prayerful silence this morning to remember the people of Ukraine and listened to the prayer of our Archbishops. Four of our students joined in with the prayer chain for peace this morning which stretched from the Bar Convent to the Minster. We continue to pray for peace
