Nah I actually don't mind this at all. Most of the time you can use that to maybe give them a pointer or just brighten their day a bit. The real problem to me is when someone is aggressive after a set because it's super uncomfortable.

Many players in many games can quickly identify good buttons and their usages in neutral/blockstrings/combos/etc.
They may use certain buttons as pokes in the neutral if that’s what the button is good for which can be a guess but many players press things with clear intentions.

Mk11 is a good example of what I'm talking about actually. In MK11, you perform the BnBs and that's it. In anime FGs, the increase in suboptimal choices you can make is what people consider expressive when it really isn't.
