It is heartbreaking to see the consistency with which those who preside over atrocities and grave violations of human rights of ordinary Kenyans get rewarded with the trappings and privilege of power.

It is great that the courts get to have the final word on the legality and constitutionality of the process to impeach the DP. There's need for clarity over what the process of impeachment needs to be legally and constitutionally. The courts will provide it.

@AnyangNyongo @KindikiKithure Wow. Even you. The Governor of the great county of Kisumu, the scene of some of the most horrific cases of police brutality last year during Azimio protests. Just wow.

It is rather obvious that Kenyan politics has not and will not transform any time soon. That is the tragedy for our beloved republic.

There can be no excuses, rationalization or prevarication about the judiciary's independence. A truly independent judiciary is the lifeline of a healthy democracy. Judiciary's independence must be sacrosanct unless Kenya is no longer a democracy.

@justkiarii Thanks man. I know you to be an honorable gentleman. I want that to ooze out of what you post especially on a public platform as this. Resist the temptation to hit below the belt.

@justkiarii Why are you body shaming? You can criticize without resorting to body shaming. This is low and disgusting. Shame on you.

@IEAKwame Thank you breaking down what is/can be technical so simply that it is possible for all to understand. You've demystified the "animal" called Finance Bill and the role of MPs in taxation in one fell swoop.

To the rulers of Kenya, why are you so cruel, so heartless and so callous in your treatment of the ordinary Kenyan? Why?

The political and governance transformation young Kenyans seek will only materialize if they can organize, mobilize and vote decisively in the next election. The current political and state establishment cannot & will not transform in any progressive manner.

I weep for you fellow country men and women. Your government took away your lives because you asked it to do better, to be better, to build a country where you'd have a fair chance to thrive. 🥲🥲🥲

Human life is sacred, not to be messed with, because we're created in the very image of God (Genesis 1:27).
