@DJSnM People may not have a good idea about the probability of 2.3%. It’s about the same as the probability of getting double six from two dice, which is 1/36=2.78%. It’s not high but you’ve seen it many times.

Assembling 12 identical pieces with coordinated motion simultaneously to form a soccer ball shape. It requires aligning all 12 pieces and move them inwards at the same time. I made two simpler models with 4 and 6 pieces. You may buy them here:

@DJSnM In this part of the video, one of the 6 engines was already off. After this, some other engines gradually shut down before we lost telemetry.

@neozhaoliang This makes sense. I have a similar but different puzzle. There, solving it without any constraint is harder, because you don’t know where to start. I think to limit the difficulty, the official challenges come with constraints, which also serve as hints.

Recently I designed and 3d printed a coordinated-motion model. There are 4 identical pieces. When we assemble them, all pieces move simultaneously towards the center to form an octahedron. Then I spin it to disassemble.

@MathMatize Epsilon often plays with N. Somehow, N doesn’t go well with delta.

@jon I think of it as an icosahedron with each triangle divided into 9 small ones. So we get 20*9=180. It's a different way to look at it.

@Golovanov_ammoc @DarwinianVyas But occasionally chalks make a loud squeaky noise. Markers are much better regarding this issue.

@divbyzero I would vote for 0^0=1, if we can vote to decide.
