because they never cared. None of them truly care about the fact that there are more than 100,000 people missing in my country, they don’t give a fuck. Just like the main character of their movie doesn’t care and uses it as a tool to clean her reputation and conscience
one of my biggest observations is how none of these speeches so far has shed a caring light on the situation in mexico the movie is supposed to bring awareness to, it’s always about them
