#Loksabha Raising the issue of the shortage of nursing staff in public hospitals across the country, under Rule 377 today, urged our govt to introduce a mandatory internship program for nursing students, similar to the one already in place for MBBS graduates. There is a shortage of nursing staff at our Wenlock District Hospital in Mangalore, but I understand that this is part of a larger nationwide issue affecting healthcare delivery, especially in government hospitals & rural healthcare facilities. To address this, have sought that our Ministry of Health and Family Welfare direct the Nursing Council of India to implement this policy-level change toward strengthening our public healthcare system and ensuring quality medical care for all. #Rule377 #BudgetSession2025
