@DougWahl1 yes. and no. I don't like Americans, even if I would never agree with them generally, were lied to and used. Other point, we tried to tell them - but they were so desparate for the water in their hellish desserts that they drank the sand.

@VladTheInflator it's the compromise. They make less than Americans in country while on visa. They get protection & other perks on H1B that help them live here. Then they get to invest, work toward citizenship. Companies pay the visa cost so there's offset there. I don't love it but ok w it.

@elonmusk If a brilliant engineer is here on H1B, they get and we get. In India, if you have a brilliant engineer who'd be paid US 150 p/hr is being paid their% of 50 p/hr - your projects are screwed bc they have families to feed too and will go to the next contract paying more in a snap.
