Halo will simply never evolve past what it is because the fanbase are so against anything new. 3rd person has always played a part in halo (whenever you pick up a turret) . This is just something that lets forger's to create more fun experiences, and provides a new way to play.

Actually they did. They were made 100% completion rewards, if you don't have them but got 100% completion load into your save for a couple minutes.
