since 1952 Japan has sent 65 male gymnasts to the Olympics.

On a personal note, I am heartbroken for Allan. This is the 3rd year in a row he's alternate. I understand, but I was really rooting for him. I know he'll take it in his stride because he's a wonderful team player, but.... idk man. 3 years in a row...

Strong disagree. Who does it help to force them to talk right after this? We know they're disappointed, we're not going to learn anything else. Let them regroup and decide what they want to share with people. Athletes do not owe you this. Their job is to compete.
For men’s gymnastics to grow & develop in U.S., they need current athletes to share their journey, through highs & lows. For first time in decades, U.S. men declined any press opps after team finals. Virtually every other country has stopped to share their journey

Correct. Allan Bower was only Olympic alternate not invited to World Trials, thus more or less ending his competitive career, as he’s headed to med school in 2022. Despite many requests and discussions with USA Gymnastics, we have been told they will not reconsider his exclusion.

After strenuous and lengthy complaint, the MPC agreed to fund Allan for just 2 months, until the Games have concluded. The committee's original intention was to have him continue to train for Team USA without any support or future competitive goal.

Something I would like to say about David Belyavskiy: he is the 2013 European AA champion and 2015 silver medalist. It is SIX years since he last won a European AA medal- or even competed in AA at Euros- and he qualified in second place. Amazing.
