Forward 6’9 217 lbs
16 ppg, 5 rpg & 2.4 apg
-6’10 wingspan
-Skilled do-it-all forward
-Nice feel for the game
-Seasoned
-Good athlete
-Not overly quick or explosive 🧨
-No major holes in game
-Should push for minutes as a rookie
Paolo said he doesn’t want to be the PG. That means Orlando should try to acquire a PG. It’s that simple. No more Paolo is the PG. Thank you. Good night.
I think if Simons were on this team he would come off the bench. As much as I wouldn’t mind it, I don’t see Orlando giving up first round picks for a bench player. Now if Ayton is included that’s a different story.
Possible Magic trade targets (no order):
-Jarret Allen
-Walker Kessler
-DeAndre Ayton Robert Williams
-Clint Capela and Deandre Hunter
-Cam Johnson
-Brook Lopez
Coach Mosley is known for defense and player development. It’s no surprise this was Mo Bamba’s most productive year. This video shows him practicing one-on-one with Bamba. I look forward to him doing the same with Paolo Banchero.
The Magic currently have 7 players that can initiate the offense and conduct pick and rolls:
-Cole Anthony
-Paolo Banchero
-Anthony Black
-Markelle Fultz
-Joe Ingles
-Jalen Suggs
-Franz Wagner
This is a tremendous advantage in a motion offense.
There’s buzz building around a potential draft slide for Rob Dillingham, who is unlikely to go in the top-10.
Dillingham’s size — 6’1” without shoes and a 6’3” wingspan — alongside many lottery teams not prioritizing point guards could be pushing him down the board.

Team needs: backup C, shooting & rotation players (245 player games missed last year).
I don’t think Tyus Jones is the difference between the Magic making the playoffs or not. Small PG on an awful team who is free-agent after this year. The infatuation with him by some Magic fans doesn’t make sense to me.
Signing KCP is a double whammy for Denver. They lose a starter and Orlando gains one. Also, Orlando owns Denver’s 2025 first round pick thanks to the Aaron Gordon trade. I assume Denver’s record will be worse this year.
Free agent guard Gary Harris has agreed to a two-year, $14 million contract to stay with the Orlando Magic, sources tell ESPN. Harris will be returning for his fifth season with the Magic — his 11th in the NBA.
Magic need a starting shooting guard. A consistent shooter and a secondary ball handler, so Paolo doesn’t have to initiate the offense the majority of the time.
As Magic fans we win either way. 47 win season and a playoff berth. If the team loses in the playoffs, front office is force to make impact transactions.
Chet Holmgren “has some supporters” within the Magic’s front office, but Kevin O’Connor believes “all indications” point to Jabari Smith with no. 1 overall pick. via

Markelle Fultz looked like his old self in good ways and bad. Positives were facilitating, attacking paint and hitting from midrange. The negative continues to be the 3-pt shot. He didn’t even attempt one last night.
Gary Harris will draw interest from plenty of teams in free agency as a veteran 3-and-D wing.
Harris is expected to receive around the taxpayer mid-level exception.
The 29-year-old has shot 39.2% on threes during his tenure with the Magic.

There’s an early indication that Jalen Smith will decline his $5.4 million player option with the Pacers to enter unrestricted free agency, per
@MikeAScotto
().
Smith was one of the NBA’s most efficient backup bigs this season averaging 9.9 points and 5.5
Rival executives believe the Jazz could make Collin Sexton available on the trade market this offseason, per
@MikeAScotto
().
Sexton averaged 18.7 points and 4.9 assists while shooting 39.4% on threes this season.
Would the Thunder do this to get Chet Holmgren? In this scenario the Magic drop to
#2
and still get either Jabari Smith or Paolo Banchero while also receiving pick
#12
.
Use it or lose it Orlando. For those advocating for internal development only, this is the last time in the foreseeable future the Magic will have cap space.
I updated my 2024 NBA cap space projections:
1. Pistons: $64.4M
2. 76ers: $61.3M
3. Magic: $49.5M
4. Jazz: $38.1M
5. Thunder: $35.3M
6. Spurs: $21.3M
Hornets are a swing team. If Miles Bridges leaves, I project them to have $29.8M in space.
Isaiah Hartenstein could fetch a contract upwards of $100 million in free agency, per
@JakeLFischer
().
The Pistons and Thunder are potential suitors who might try to pry Hartenstein away from the Knicks.

Some seem to overreact after 4 games. Orlando lost to the Lakers and Clippers. I expected them to lose those games. They’re .500 team and that’s fine. The problem is some players don’t fit with Paolo and Franz. I think that’s the larger issue
