The crux of Kojève’s critique of Christianity is that it rests upon an attachment to 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 that prevents it from entering the struggle of Slave and Master, which requires 𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦. That is, Christianity rests upon the fear of death—hence belief in the afterlife.

A bill to create a 4-day work week is about to be introduced in the Pennsylvania legislature. Companies with more than 500 workers would have to shorten their week to 32 hours, without reducing pay. Recent polling shows that 81% of workers nationwide want a four-day week.
