Not our royals. Not our King and not our "Prince" of Wales.
The recent "controversy" over James McClean singing along to "he hates the f*cking king" is further proof of how the BBC and the British state are disconnected from the people of Wales. We do not worship this "Royal" family that has been imposed upon us. Gweriniaeth Cymreig!

I think we only need Welsh place names on signs. Anyone can struggle to say a place names - there's quite a few in England that English people cant pronounce. That's dialects for you (which arn't reflected in Kings English). I think a good point is being made.
A grassroots Welsh independence youth group has taken responsibility for spray painting English versions of Welsh place names on road signs across Denbighshire.

Fact Check: 62 nations have broken away from Westminster rule. There is no evidence to suggests that Wales *needs* a partner in Westminster. At all.
Wales needs a partner in Westminster, and a UK government to provide the stability and investment that our communities deserve. With Labour, that is what the people of Wales can expect.

There is no rational argument that supports England ruling Wales and Scotland. There is no rational argument that legitimises the occupation of Ulster. Any concept of "family" is imagined. A "shared culture" that is effectively English culture foisted upon us. Indy Wales now!.
Reflecting on my visit to Scotland this weekend. We often hear rational arguments for the merits of union based on our shared prosperity and security. While correct, they miss the most important thing. It is family. A shared culture, history and endeavour. It’s in our poems, in

Dydd Hapus Owain Glyndwr! . Remember this is about more than one man. It's about a nation finding the strength to say "No" to the injustices inflicted upon them. They felt so strongly that they took up arms and fought against it and that should never be forgotten. #IndyWales

Wales doesn't just want artefacts associated with its past returned. It also wants its self determination returned as well.
'It's our national treasure, what's it doing in England?'. Prompted by Nigeria requesting its artefacts back following thefts from the British Museum, this Welsh caller vents his frustrations to @AliMirajUK on 'treasure' taken from Wales, saying it's 'annoying for everyone'.

@AaronBastani People just want the Tories gone from Westminster I think. Fits what some corners have been saying; Starmer will be a one term PM. He's not wanted; he's just an alternative.

This is the Plaid Cymru that Wales needs and wants. One that's not afraid to speak out. One that wont play a rigged game. A party that isn't afraid to stand up for what it believes in. If this was Plaid on every level then they'd be the Welsh Government in 2026.
Wrexham’s Plaid Cymru group have walked out of the LDP meeting - and are now in the public gallery. “We are not going to grace this vote with our presence”. More later … !

To him all the title means is he's next in line to be King of the English. No more depth to it than that. There's no understanding or appreciation of the historical implications of the title. He doesn't feel it's of any relevance and it shows. We see it. He doesn't care.
The 'Prince of Wales' supporting his football team - and then still pretending to wish Wales the best of luck! Bin the lot of them from Welsh life

Thinking of all the times Labour demanded an election after Johnson was toppled. Now the shoe is on the other foot. .
VAUGHAN GETHING RESIGNS. We now need an urgent Senedd election so we can begin to put 25 years of appalling Labour misrule behind us and move forward to a Wales based on integrity, honesty and accountability.

@NationCymru He's right. This isn't about the monarchy. The title is as far removed from reality as the family who thinks they have a right to use it.

If Wales' history is not seen and taught then there is no Wales. It's not just about contents of museums but the sentiment around preserving our identity as a distinct nation. Its is an insult to those who acted to preserve that identity; from Rhys' Eisteddfod to Gwynfor and S4C.

The north gets more because of the threat of reunification. Scotland gets more because of the threat of Independence. Wales gets less because. .
Northern Ireland is set to receive £3.3bn and a fairer funding settlement from the Treasury, which I welcome. I asked "Wales’s man in the Cabinet" whether he has demanded equivalent fair funding for Wales. (spoiler: the answer is no)

I personally don't think the British media works for Wales at all. It's akin to sticking your head in a lions mouth. so do genuinely applaud @RhunapIorwerth. 👍.
HS2 was classified as ‘England-and-Wales’. Because of that, Scotland gets extra cash. Northern Ireland gets extra cash. Wales gets nothing. @RhunapIorwerth explains on @GMB the injustice of Welsh rail funding. Plaid Cymru is the only party standing up for Wales 🏴

@Ciara87C They need to create an enemy to maintain the integrity of their Union. If there's not one readily available then they go back on the old tropes. It'll be the Scots next when they push for Indy. Then we Welsh for existing in what they deem to be western England.

They'll set democracy aside when its convenient. Complete arrogance. This is a ruling class that far exceeds its mandate as being democratically elected by the people.
"Isn't that rather dismissive of the Senedd?". Emily Thornberry describes @Lewis_Goodall's question about Vaughan Gething losing a no-confidence vote as 'odd,' insisting that the motion was just 'a gimmick.'

So a few days have passed. Lets talk about this campaign. First of; the Ynys Mon + Caerfyrddin victories topped with the highest vote share the party has had in a GE. The problem today is the same as it was last week though: Plaid isn't making headway into the Valleys. Why?🧵.
We promised to hold the new Labour government to account. That's exactly what we're going to do on behalf of the people of Wales 🏴

@JamesEvansMS The people of Wales never agreed to join with England. We need to hold a referendum and let the people decide whether they still want to be governed by Westminster.

There's a few reasons why Plaid cannot and should not support the budget. 1. They've called for an election. Not supporting a budget will either result in an election or the Tories supporting a budget. Both a win in my book. 2. It's not Plaid's interest to support an /1.
Plaid Cymru would not say if it will help Welsh Labour pass its budget, but warned that the ruling party must stop 'rowing back on ambition'.

@GwalchDrosGymru @IestynapRhobert Just like Independence is a means to an end. so is getting elected in any setting. Being elected doesn't make you a leader - it's what you do in the position you're elected to. Iestyn is respected for the part he's played in getting the movement this far. His voice matters.

"You are in our way so get off your land". Pretty much trace everything back to this mindset. Your village is in the way of our reservoir. Your community is in the way of our holiday resort. Your language is in the way of ours.
Tory MP, @marcolonghi4dn, has complained that access to Wales' beaches are "basic rights" for his Dudley North constituents. Welsh Secretary @Simonhartmp replied that a new review would bring “gratification to the residents of Dudley”.

Lets be honest here Wales: This is unlikely to change if Starmer gets into power. It's time we took our fate into our own hands. It's better to try our luck on our own as #indywales. There will never be a better time to push for Independence than when the Union is failing.

@bryanjaywalsh @SkyNews It's an extractive economy. Resource stripping to build up London and the Empire and we got a tiny cut of it back. You'd be a fool to think England isn't still riding that wave.

Think the issue here is that in Scotland the Crown Estates were devolved as a compromise in lieu of the Independence referendum. The government will draw this out and the only time we see more powers is as a bargaining chip against Indy. We wont ever get anything by asking.
Crown estate: why it’s time to devolve it and put Wales on par with Scotland. The Scottish purse fattens each year via its natural resources. How is it justified that Wales doesn’t also benefit directly from its own crown estate assets?. ✍️ @stephenclear .

The struggle for Independence has always been the struggle of a people, despite our Kings overshadowing events. For me Llywelyn ap Gruffydd Fychan represents the people that history has forgotten and families who turned out and bled fighting /1.

Hands up if you let your neighbour manage your household finances etc.? Imagine being told you weren't ready to do it or weren't capable of doing it. Because that's what they're saying.
The Labour Party has committed to the greatest devolution of powers since Labour first set up the devolved Governments. The Tories stole decision-making powers away from Wales. Today @Keir_Starmer announced that a UK Labour Government will give Wales its control back.

We have cancelled the following events due to take place at our sites this weekend, Owain Glyndwr Day at Harlech Castle and Bute’s Victorian Birthday Bonanza at Castell Coch. Please also check with our Open Doors partners that their events are going ahead before setting off.
