@karumuriashok @MansourAlmazrou Yes, key is the western half. For IOD, we can't say its a classical (positive/neg pole), but gradient is there b/w west and east IO, and the dipole is more clear in the OLR anomalies.

El Niño may bring above normal rainfall during winter over South Asia and increased western disturbances. But so far, this is not case in current winter. Possibly due to the current Indian Ocean not in phase with El Niño. Ind. heat. Dipole+el nino is imp.
