@ArthurC28538147 @16forbs @mcsquared34 Educates. Provides factual news/ information without the political bias that infects most other sources. Presents arts/entertainment without the scourge of commercials trying to sell something to listeners. It represents cultural sophistication in a sea of pablum.

@ABehiel @no_earthquake It’s not about you. Think of all of the ways the federal government protects people who live in states with bad government. You do understand that living in a civilized society means paying to cover the needs of everyone, regard of the benefit you personally realize.

@OwedNada @delayedprodigy @MarkMantis @allenanalysis Consider yourself lucky then. Most people in this country do not have that privilege. See how other, superior countries take care of retirees.

@ec_schneider No, Democrats need to topple Big Tech, not cuddle up to it. Big Tech is against everything that liberals stand for.

@ABehiel @no_earthquake Most states do not have anything like what CA has. In fact, most states have NO standards for air & water quality. If the EPA were to disappear suddenly (won’t happen), people in those states would have no protection. General private industry pollutes far more than the military.

@no_earthquake Not only is this absolutely true, they don’t even realize how much MORE their government SHOULD be doing for them!

@DarthBallz6969 @przgwxl @jason1Patterson @davidfrum They’ll have lifelong pensions to enjoy. Nobody needs to “code”. We already have enough idiots doing that.

@jason1Patterson @davidfrum The “unelected bureaucrats” actually represent the citizens far more than people like Musk and Trump do.

@MichaGenereau @TheScoopUS @covie_93 That’s a lot easier to do with government than it is with private foundations, charities, and churches. All of the information is public.

@TheScoopUS @covie_93 This argument is a cover for selfishness. Christians should support using government to do good things and should happily give up part of their earnings for that purpose. Government often does more of God’s work than churches do.

@hunterengels_ What is so damning of MAGA is that they will post examples of people behaving in good, kind ways and somehow expect everyone to find something bad or sinister in it. Their moral compasses are just completely twisted.

@QueenMab87 I find it an indictment of America that so many here seem to want to micromanage who can receive what type of public benefits. In other countries, people seem fine with letting government agencies responsible for such things set policies & they have goodwill toward recipients.
