When making vehicles in Roblox, don't use cylinders for the wheels - the red markers are the contact point between the wheel and the ground, it keeps switching from side to side making it unstable! Use a ball with a cylinder mesh on it instead.

Anyone know how to fix this jittering issue? The lift is anchored, and has it's AssemblyVelocity and CFrame set on .Stepped. The jittering is caused by the Humanoid bouncing, not the lift itself.

I just found out one of my family's dogs died, and it's not exactly been a great week already, so I'm probably not going to be posting for a while. Going to miss you Archie.
And thanks to the new massless and root priority settings Roblox introduced, you can now hold tools as a tiny character without being flung out the map!

The most difficult part of Roblox isn't learning to code or model, it's figuring out which convoluted menu hierarchy any given setting has been randomly chucked in
Realised I've spent 25 years being driven by 'well maybe the next thing will be better' and now there is no more 'next thing' to work towards I've completely lost all motivation and drive
Bit late as I'm on holiday, but finally watching 'that' video. Don't want to be too defensive, but the first half could just as equally be describing YouTube as Roblox. While not presenting any false information, it does seem to omit a lot of important context
I'd be very interested to know how roblox is planning both to introduce 200 player servers and 3D layered clothing when just the current R15 characters alone crash out most devices long before you reach 200 players
Comparison of the new Future lighting vs. current Shadow Map, a truly amazing difference! (Plus a sneak preview of
@Rolijok
new, more fitting office)

Seeing all these 'Happy mother's day' messages always gives me a horrible jolt of panic as I think I've forgotten it, then remember the UK celebrates it in March.
Roblox FPS Unlocker is actually a really valuable tool for development - Even when you think you've account for different framerates, it can be surprising to see how differently your game behaves when locked to 30FPS or unlocked to 120FPS.
Roblox games are now beginning to rival even juggernauts like CSGO in concurrent players counts. It's hard to believe that just a few years ago, having only 1000 concurrent players was an amazing achievement.
@Chadmandudeguy
Among Us is a very Robloxy-y style game, with a lot of similar games existing for years here.
Shame people made cheap rip offs instead of reviving the genre properly.
I know I don't say this often enough, so quick thanks to all the Innovation members and players of my games for supporting me! Things are a bit rough for me right now, but my degree will be done by summer and then I can really get to work!
I'm done. That's 6 separate engine/studio bugs in the last 48 hours, and I've got almost nothing done because of them. I'm taking a break then spending tomorrow reproducing and writing a lot of bug reports.
Decided it was finally time to pick up a graphics editor a bit more advanced than paint dot net, tried making a simple sci-fi style hexagon button and it was surprisngly easy
The door has opened, hop onto the Arctic Base and claim your free holiday gift and badge! And as a bonus, use code XMAS2020 for 500 free funds!

Is there any reason we can't convert games to group games? Plane Crazy being stuck under my profile instead of being moved to a group has caused a lot of trouble
@robloxdevrel
So I'm using the Innovation Labs remake as an opportunity to learn better organisation and take advantage of existing frameworks and libraries. Developers, what are you opinions on Aero and Nevermore? Any thoughts on which I should use?
The most depressing thing about the covid outbreak is how abysmal the public response is. The stores have been completely emptied by hoarders, and then everyone just continues as normal, going to pubs and packing themselves into the crowded town market.
So I just found out that Players aren't destroyed when they leave, they're just parented to nil. Top tip to any developers out there, *NEVER* rely on :Destroy() to disconnect events for you, there are tons of poorly documented exceptions and edge cases!
