i always really liked how nuanced Fry's family was. they weren't a great family, but they still loved him. the real tragedy is the fact he never realized until after he was frozen. you don't know what you've got till it's gone
@AnimatedAddict
it's a reference to fry's star trek obsession from "where no fan has gone before" as well as a little running joke in a discord server among friends lol
thank you for the response to this! during my last rewatch, this episode hit me unexpectedly hard. i'd never watched it from Yancy's POV before, and when he found that clover, it suddenly hit me what he must have been thinking. That Fry didn't have it when he went missing
And the reason he hid it in the first place was because Yancy kept trying to steal it. What if he hadn't? Would anything change? Imagine never having that closure, always wondering. Even though we know Fry will be happy in the future, people still loved him in the past
wow! i've never had a tweet blow up before, thank you all for the likes and follows! i don't post on twitter super often, but every now and then i have art

futurama's coffee episode made me think of my old pitch for a show about futuristic baristas competing in cafe-related death games. it was called Cosmic Latte and i'm still somewhat proud of the title
realizing now i accidentally made these two orange and purple lol

i didn't get to work on it too long but it was a blast while I was there! Here's one of mine from the last episode, it was fun to do acting like this!

to warm up my arm sometimes i just do a bunch of big scribbles and circles, loops and lines, it helps if you don't have the energy for sketches
without sharing the whole thing, Cosmic Latte is a cyberpunk action-comedy about a group of homeless "baristas" who run an anti-government crime syndicate disguised as a travelling coffee truck
